Description: The data model starts with Esri's Local Government Informational Model (LGIM). Fields are added to enable a network dataset to be built for Fire truck routing in Network Analyst. The fields "Official" and "Admin" enable users to select or draw centerlines for various purposes. For example, DPW&P maintains the Official Street Map and will use the "Official = yes" to model this. This feature class participates in two views: the Major_Roads view in GISMAPPING selects major roads (RoadClass = Collector or Major Arterial or Highway) from street centerlines and joins to street name table for labeling options. Major Roads are categorized as public streets on the official map (Official = 0 Admin = 0) or interstates, which are not on the official map and administered by other jurisdictions (Official = 1 Admin = 4); the StreetCenterline_wNames view joins street centerlines to street name table for ease of labeling.
